1:1Paul，andSilvanus，andTimotheus，untothechurchoftheThessaloniansinGodourFatherandtheLordJesusChrist:

1:2Graceuntoyou，andpeace，fromGodourFatherandtheLordJesusChrist.

1:3WeareboundtothankGodalwaysforyou，brethren，asitismeet，becausethatyourfaithgrowethexceedingly，andthecharityofeveryoneofyoualltowardeachotheraboundeth;

1:4SothatweourselvesgloryinyouinthechurchesofGodforyourpatienceandfaithinallyourpersecutionsandtribulationsthatyeendure:

1:5WhichisamanifesttokenoftherighteousjudgmentofGod，thatyemaybecountedworthyofthekingdomofGod，forwhichyealsosuffer:

1:6SeeingitisarighteousthingwithGodtorepensetribulationtothemthattroubleyou;

1:7Andtoyouwhoaretroubledrestwithus，whentheLordJesusshallberevealedfromheavenwithhismightyangels，

1:8InflamingfiretakingvengeanceonthemthatknownotGod，andthatobeynotthegospelofourLordJesusChrist:

1:9WhoshallbepunishedwitheverlastingdestructionfromthepresenceoftheLord，andfromthegloryofhispower;

1:10Whenheshalletobeglorifiedinhissaints，andtobeadmiredinallthemthatbelieve（becauseourtestimonyamongyouwasbelieved）inthatday.

1:11Whereforealsoweprayalwaysforyou，thatourGodwouldcountyouworthyofthiscalling，andfulfilallthegoodpleasureofhisgoodness，andtheworkoffaithwithpower:

1:12ThatthenameofourLordJesusChristmaybeglorifiedinyou，andyeinhim，accordingtothegraceofourGodandtheLordJesusChrist.

2:1Nowwebeseechyou，brethren，bytheingofourLordJesusChrist，andbyourgatheringtogetheruntohim，

2:2Thatyebenotsoonshakeninmind，orbetroubled，neitherbyspirit，norbyword，norbyletterasfromus，asthatthedayofChristisathand.

2:3Letnomandeceiveyoubyanymeans:forthatdayshallnote，exceptthereeafallingawayfirst，andthatmanofsinberevealed，thesonofperdition;

2:4WhoopposethandexaltethhimselfaboveallthatiscalledGod，orthatisworshipped;sothatheasGodsittethinthetempleofGod，shewinghimselfthatheisGod.

2:5Rememberyenot，that，whenIwasyetwithyou，Itoldyouthesethings?

2:6Andnowyeknowwhatwithholdeththathemightberevealedinhistime.

2:7Forthemysteryofiniquitydothalreadywork:onlyhewhonowlettethwilllet，untilhebetakenoutoftheway.

2:11AndforthiscauseGodshallsendthemstrongdelusion，thattheyshouldbelievealie:
